These specimens, and those in WELT from the same source, differ from the type of Polystichum mohroides in many respects. The dark-centered indusium, and rachis scales of these specimens sugges to me that they are from a 'sport' or monstrous form of P. richardii. The fact that only one plant was ever found would support this.
