Tree c. 13 metres. Smooth silvery-grey bark. Dense habit. Shoots shining, pale brown. Leaves dark shining green above, white - banded below. Lvs ± forward pointing. - Buds purplish; thinly resinous.Not typical of A. cephalonica because:1. Leaves not radially arranged.2. Shoots are not glabrous3. Bract scales of cone seemingly were not excerted, but intact cone not seen. Cult. as this species.NOT-INTACT CONES IN COLL. IN PLASTIC BAG.
