Dear Mr Hatch,
I am sending to you a specimen of an Orchid which I collected near Homer Tunnel, South Island. As I have no means of identifying it. This was collected about 12th Jan '68 & was growing at about 2500feet. It may be a common one but I have not before seem it growing so thought I should send it to you. I enclose SAE [self addressed envelope] & would be grateful for your reply.
